I share the reality of practice because I believe in this world of produced perfection we need to see that yoga is a humble practice that includes soaring highs and tumbling lows. There is no substitute for sustained, sincere practice over a long period of time. Things shift incrementally and the big changes are often only seen in retrospect. But the raw, exposed truth of it is that you are here every day on your mat renewing your commitment to the focus, the practice and the breath. While the poses of yoga can sometimes be flashy, the practice is so often a solitary, quiet endeavor. You walk the path without anyone there to cheer you on or encourage you. You stumble, you fall. You pick yourself back up and try agin. You practice. And somewhere along the way you learn the most crucial lesson of them all--you learn how to live a life of inner peace, filled with love and forgiveness, courage and hope.
