It has served me well and I am so grateful. But not everyone has that experience, good fortune or grace. I started practicing yoga 25 years ago and a lot has changed. There are so many people teaching (which I think is good) and yoga is available everywhere (also good). I suggest we learn to apply our analytical mind a bit so that we can find the teacher that best aligns with our path. What do you look for in a yoga teacher? What is the difference between a teacher, an instructor and a guru? Do you think you need a teacher or a guide at all? I feel like whatever keeps us on the path and supports us to keep practicing is to be cherished, honored and respected. I doubt I’d be practicing toddy without the constant steady presence of my teachers on the path. But what about you?
