What does it mean to be real and authentic? I did a live meditation on IG and a bunch of people called me fake. I am who I am. At this time in my life I am not trying to be anyone else. I am not perfect, nor do I claim to be. I'm interested in transparency and letting actions speak for themselves. I struggle with many things. In fact, this morning I was sitting in meditation and a wave of anger welled up from inside of me. And rather than subsiding it turned violent. After 20 minutes it subsided. But I was left in a mild state of shock to witness the seed of such aggression come from within me. I mean, wow. That was one level, then the acknowledgement that it's there, it's ok, but it's not to be acted on and then the training to observe, to sit with it, to not act. And finally the deep peace. I don't have the answers. I'm just a girl doing this practice, slowly shifting the arc of life to a more peaceful place. _ #ashtangayogachallenge Day 26 is Setu Bandhasana, Bridge Pose. How about for today we build bridges instead of writing people off? How about for today we recognize that every single person is real, has feelings and has amazing capacity for love and vulnerability?
