Every being is valuable. Every human being, every animal, every creature and every critter. All life is valuable. It can be overwhelming to tune in to the vastness of living beings in the world, but whether you think about it or not, you are in fact connected to every single living being. And every single one matters.

There is infinite joy and infinite sorrow in the heart of the world. Highs and lows of love and loss, joy and devastation, so deep and powerful that it may seem utterly daunting, like drowning in the waves of an endless sea.

The sick, unwanted dog on the street.
The abandoned child whose cries no one hears.
The broken-hearted person who has never felt loved or understood.
The billions of animals raised for the sole purpose of dying.
The birds, cats, bears and other animals whose habitats are shrinking and who are utterly defenseless against civilization’s ceaseless encroaching.
The indigenous people whose homes and lands were stolen.
The downtrodden, the outcast, the rejected, the marginalized, the abused, the voiceless, the powerless, the hurting, the sick, the injured, the forgotten.

But not only that.
_
The laughter of good friends.
The hope of first love.
Being happy for no reason at all.
The rhythm of a rockin’ song that you feel in your hips.
The magic of sunrise.
A gentle breeze on a warm sunny day.
The majesty of a rainstorm.
Cuddles and hugs and the feeling of being safe in someone’s arms.
Looking in the mirror and loving the person you see.
Doing what’s right, especially when it’s unpopular.
Holding hands while walking down the street.
Forgiveness.
Redemption.
Rebirth.

The cycles of life. It’s up to you to make sense of what it all means.
