The best teachers are the ones whose students surpass them. Teaching is like passing on the sacred fire with the hopes that the flame gets brighter and brighter.

Here in India I am a student of yoga, just like everyone else. Whereas at home I’m often in the role of teacher, I cherish this time to be a student. One thing that is so inspiring is to see so many young yoga practitioners who are so committed to the path and so good at the practice. I am cherishing every moment of this trip!
_
My advice to every teacher of yoga and every student in need of a bit of inspiration—make a plan to attend a workshop, retreat or intensive and spend time with you teacher in a concentrated way. Soak up the energy and let it nourish your soul.
