In any given day there is so much good happening around you, in you, for you, through you. If you could see just how much goodness there really is in the world it would overwhelm you. When you focus on the negative you give it a power it actually doesn’t have. Sure, when you stare at something it seems bigger simply because you’re giving it attention. Yoga is powerful because it gives you your power back, meaning you finally regain control over the habit patterns of the mind. If you’re surrounded by a storm of hate, jealousy, fear or panic, you remain still and wait for the light to shine through. Then, you’ll see the first few rays of sunlight breaking through the clouds, like hope being reborn from the ashes of pain. You’ll reclaim your sense of self, more solid and true and you stand tall amidst the calm winds of joy that roll in to greet you. You are stronger than any obstacle. You will not be beaten down by any storm. You can never be bought and you will never sell your soul. You are pure and free and your heart is a sanctuary of love and peace.
