Have you ever dreamed about going to India? Or have you already been transformed by the magic of studying yoga at its spiritual source? I have been practicing Ashtanga Yoga for the last 17 years. When I was 23 years old I traveled to Mysore, India for the first of multiple trips to study with my teachers Sri K. Pattabhi Jois and R. Sharath Jois. Only with the support and financial help of my parents was I able to make this journey. I’ve dreamed of providing the financial support to a young aspiring yoga student to walk down the same inspired path of yoga that I did. Now, in collaboration with registered 501(c)3 charity @yogisheart you can help make someone’s dreams of going to India come true. The "Journey to India scholarship" awards one full scholarship to support one month’s study at the K. Pattabhi Jois Ashtanga Yoga Institute. We hope to raise $5,000 to cover the cost of airfare, housing, tuition and living expenses. Scholarship will be awarded based on merit and financial need through a board reviewed application process.
