Day 10 #BalanceBasics is Garudasana, Eagle Posture. To enter cross the opposite arm and leg, so if the right leg is on the top, the right arm is on the bottom. Squeeze the thighs towards each other and engage the pelvic floor. Test out your connection to the core by lifting up and maintaining the same shape through the legs while you lift up and jump back. This posture isn't in the traditional Ashtanga method but it can be used to help build the foundations for Vatayanasana, an asana from Second Series.
