Almost every creator, business, and leisure-user has said they're experiencing extreme drops in reach and engagement, which is resulting in many (including me) being less-inclined to post, or even scroll (seriously tho why do I only see the same 10 people?!), and turning to other platforms with more organic results and diversity. . I've always preached not to put all your eggs in one basket, meaning don't just depend on IG for business (it's only about 1/3 of mine), so if you currently are, here's some things you should know! . 1. IG's new updates are favoring Reels bc they are hard core trying to compete with TikTok. If you aren't making them, you'll likely continue to see a drop. 2. It is also following in Facebook's footsteps of only showing your posts to your audience if you pay for ads. But if you don't continuously do it, you'll also see a drop. 3. On the contrary, all of IG's competitors have implemented ways to pay users to create content rather than punish them and make them pay to use the platform for profit (think YouTube, TikTok and now even Snapchat) 4. A blog or website is and always will be more reliable and lucrative in the long run! 5. Don't feel overwhelmed by having to post on multiple platforms...just re-purpose one piece on multiple channels, and see which one performs best! 6. If you're here just bc you want to see the content, please please please trust me when I say that if you don't either like/comment or subscribe to people, the bots think you literally don't like the content and they won't show you it! .
