At this point there's not much we can do but think happy thoughts, so I shall share with you how epic this train ride is 🤗 . You board the train in Guadalajara (where my bf was born!), and travel to Tequila, Mexico -- the town that the actual spirit is named after! Actually, tequila must be from this region in order to be called "tequila"! . On the train you get your own server who brings you several tastings of different kinds of tequilas and cocktails! . It's a restored old-fashioned train, and the servers are in cocktail attire, so it really feels like you've transported back in time! . It's also a very scenic ride, with massive blue agave plants on either side, and the volcano in the distance. . The only trains I've been on more scenic than this one were in Sri Lanka! .
