In another time, in another place, the mystery of yoga would still reveal itself. Some things change, but the important things stay the same. The essence of this practice is a quest for meaning, a search for the answers to life’s most profound questions. Generations have walked the path, when it was easy and when it was hard. We stand on the shoulders of giants who have lifted big rocks and boulders out of our way. As practitioners and perhaps especially as teachers, what will our contribution be to the generations of yogis that follow in our footsteps?

While I have no doubt that the practice itself looked different years ago, the core of yoga remains changeless, eternal as the human spirit. I for one am blessed to have the gift of yoga in my life.
