It’s a good hair day ? Not every day is a good hair day, so when you have one, immortalize it with a selfie. Lol, I’m kidding. But I do believe in celebrating every blessing in life. If you take the time to actually focus on the good things, it is a form of being grateful. So often we let the simple pleasures of life pass by unnoticed. We take the ordinary joys for granted. Try something different. Slow down enough to give your full attention to every good thing happening around you. Whether it’s a bird chirping, a butterfly passing by, flowers blooming, blue sky, good food, good friends, good hair—whatever it is that you enjoy—when you’re experiencing stop and acknowledge the goodness. In doing so, you’ll step yourself in the flavor of that goodness and let it wash over your soul. I don’t know if there is a deeper form of prayer than our full attention. When you give your full attention to something, it has the power to create whole worlds. Create a world with kindness and love, with patience and wisdom, with joy and hope out of all the extraordinary ordinariness of life. Celebrate the small things and let that happiness be the fertile ground that receives the creative seed of a fulfilled life.
