The People’s Action Party (@papsingapore) turns 64, and this Party Conference marks the transition to the 4G leadership.

The Party held its Central Executive Committee elections today. Soon a new slate of office holders will take on key Party appointments. I am confident the new team have their hearts in the right place and have what it takes to lead Singapore.

The Party has a basic responsibility to maintain good politics in Singapore, so that the Party can continue to do right by the people and keep on improving people’s lives.

Let us stay on course, and show that we are working with Singaporeans to give them, and their children, opportunities for progress and a better life!
