We’ve come a long way since the first “Keep Singapore Clean” campaign, launched when we were newly independent. Singaporeans now enjoy many green spaces and waterways in our “City in a Garden”. But our mission is far from over. With the threat of climate change, we must protect the environment for ourselves and future generations. The Government is implementing our Climate Action Plan, e.g. introducing a carbon tax, improving energy efficiency, and stepping up research in clean tech.

This is why we still hold Clean & Green Singapore campaigns every year. To remind everyone that we all have a part to play keeping Singapore clean, green, and liveable, and that we share a responsibility to protect this planet earth that we all live on. – LHL (MCI Photos by Fyrol)
