The @beritahariansg Achievers Awards (Anugerah Jauhari) winners prove that success comes in many forms, but the common thread is hard work, passion, and determination.
This year’s awards are special. I presented the first award 20 years ago in 1999. In the two decades since, the Malay/Muslim community has made inspiring progress. Year by year, more Malays are building successful careers and becoming role models for the next generation.
The awards are a good reflection of how Singapore works. They show that no matter what your background, you will have equal access to a good education and opportunities to develop your career and talent.
