We are strong economic partners with deep cooperation in forward-looking areas such as the future economy, digitalisation, sustainability and energy, and in the climate and food domains. This week, Singapore and Japan signed a Memorandum of Cooperation on establishing a Green and Digital Shipping Corridor between our ports. This reflects our shared commitment to decarbonisation and digitalisation in the maritime sector. PM Kishida and I had a good discussion both on our bilateral cooperation and on key regional and international developments. 2026 will be the 60th anniversary of bilateral relations – a major milestone. Singapore looks forward to commemorating the friendship between our countries and strengthening our relations further.
