Glad that Singapore had the opportunity to host the inaugural edition of the Bloomberg New Economy Forum. Its theme, “A new community for the new economy”, matches our desire to be part of an open, rules-based multilateral trading system.
The forum brought many visitors to Singapore. Dr Henry Kissinger, whom I had the pleasure of lunching with on Monday, Mr @mikebloomberg, and several business and political leaders too, including Chinese Vice-President Wang Qishan, whom I hosted to lunch yesterday.
In the evening, I had a lively dialogue with the delegates. We discussed issues ranging from US-China relations and @asean, to governance in Singapore and the country’s future. You can watch the dialogue on the PMO YouTube channel - click on the link in my profile. – LHL (MCI Photos by LH Goh)
