This morning I signed on to Periscope to chat over a cup of tea. What happened was a real, raw and vulnerable conversation about life, love, yoga, God. Someone asked me if I ever smoked marajuana and I shared that the first time I tried that and many other drugs after struggling with depression early in childhood. Two people on the broadcast were brave enough to share that they lost their children in drug overdose. It could have been me. We cried together. For me the search for endless parties was a desperate cry for a deeper relationship with God and the healing that yoga is about. The decision to practice yoga changed my world.
