Day 24 #BeStrongin2015 is Mayurasana, Peacock Pose. This was totally impossible for me for so many years that I really never thought it would ever happen. But slowly, slowly, little by little my shoulders and core have gotten stronger and this pose has become accessible if not wildly comfortable. The key is to tighten the abs and then use that as the foundation for the elbows. If you feel that your elbows are pressing into the inner space of the torso you’re not engaging the abs enough. Avoid backbending to lift the legs, instead tighten the thigh muscles and connect the body as one piece.
