What's wrong with this picture? Still in Miami Airport after nearly three hours. My British Airways flight has been cancelled due to mechanical issues, or rather rescheduled for tomorrow at 5 pm. Now I am in travel limbo with the entire plane full of people waiting for my checked bag before I go back home for one more night. I just hope I arrive in time to teach in Stockholm on Friday!!! Fingers crossed for the flight actually leaving tomorrow. It's amazing that with how much I travel how few delays there are, how smoothly everything goes and how rarely things go wrong. When these delays come up I think it's important to remain calm and balanced while being nice to everyone. It's easy to get frustrated but the airline staff can only do so much when things go wrong. Everyone is in the same boat so I feel like we will all enjoy the ride so much more if we are all nice to eachother.
