Some people think peace is boring. You know what I think, I think drama is boring. I feel the most exhausted when I have to deal with an intense emotional crisis. When there’s a kind of mental hostage situation revolving around intensely polarized opinions I get drained. I’d rather not argue or disagree, even though it’s inevitable in life. I get tired from arguments, like so tired that I often have to sleep for extra hours in the night to recover. I find peace stimulating and equanimity to be life-giving. It does seem to me like there are some people who are crave drama and chaos, like they thrive in the midst of crazy emotional emergency. That’s just not me. Maybe that’s why I’ve devoted my life to yoga? I am on a quest to live a peaceful life.
