It’s been a tough year, big ups and big downs, intense highs and intense lows, immeasurable losses and brilliant new beginnings, lots of battles, trials and tests, some of them not over yet. No matter where the cards land, no matter what eventually happens, I know I’ll walk away just that little bit stronger and with more love to share.

When I speak it’s with truth and integrity. When I practice it’s with transparency and humility. When I live it’s with all my heart and all my soul. I hold nothing back, I am exactly who I am.

Soul and spirit are the essence of life. Soul and spirit are what makes yoga a lifelong practice. Beyond all the pretty poses and perfect shapes, beyond all the materiality, the truth of the spirit always remains pure and untouched. Love, real unconditional love, is the most powerful force in the universe, the heart of God, beating as the pulse of the universe, and the amazing gift that through this practice you can tap in to it and feel it and immerse yourself in that endless sea of eternality. The ultimate elixir, the highest high, unparalleled, and it makes everything else melt away.

Whenever I feel like I can’t go on, I am always gifted just enough light to take the next step. Whenever I feel like the shell is cracked, I remember it’s the cracks that let the light in. Whenever I think no one cares, no one is listening and it doesn’t matter what I say or do, I get a message from someone who says that what I do does matter, that it’s worth fighting for. When I feel like I want to quit and I’ve stumbled and fallen over my own mistakes, I am lifted and carried by Grace.

Today just for today, just for right now, I am filled with wonder and awe at the beauty of it all, the tender miraculous ephemeral fragile beauty of it all. And for today that is enough.
