glancing up through the soggy wet day, I can see the little patch of chives next to the henhouse - vibrant green made exceptional against the fuzzy grey - tightly furled blossom heads visible from the kitchen window - I'm keeping a watchful eye waiting for that green spot to go purple - as chive blossoms are a favorite of mine - and I just keep thinking to myself, patience.
