elegance in the simplicity - its what this beautiful butter cake from @thecooksatelier is all about (find there recipe in their cook book). here I’ve subbed New England spring rhubarb for the french peaches and given it sprinkle more sugar on top - and it’s nothing short of perfect .
I’ll admit to nibbling at it all morning - it’s just irresistible & while the baby sleeps I am slowly making progress on the city cottage another places I try to apply this philosophy - elegance in the simplicity - it’s an exercise in restraint and not always easy but the yield brings me the utmost joy .
