sometimes i forget to look, or more appropriately I forget to see but then something like this happens and it gives me fresh eyes and everything around me seems full of possibility. Perhaps it the spring season, so full of newness and promise for the year ahead that makes it easier to see - but I am angry with myself for letting little moments slip by or worse taking this beautiful world for granted .
from the garden, this is my view and with camera never really out of reach I stopped my scratching in the dirt to look at the sun setting out over the western hills - I didn't even see the bird in the shot at the time - I was more concerned with the swirling dark cloud above me - moments later it poured down rain - but this is the magic of the camera suspending time and allowing us to travel within it
