Today sadness is.... overwhelming, like a wall too high to climb and too expansive to go around. Grief, like a prison that I cannot escape from. Anger lurking like a shadow in the corners of my mind. I want to run until I am alone at the end of the world and scream until my voice is gone and cry until every last tear is drowned in a river of its own loss and I collapse. Carry me. For I have lost my strength. Speak for me. For I have lost my voice. I see the veil between material and spirit lifting and I get a sense of everything and everyone that is no more in this world. A sense of passing. And yet, there is so much I do not understand, so much I will never understand, so many answers I will never find, so many questions I will never have the chance to ask. Life and death. God's grace. What I will miss most is the sound of your voice, the feeling of closeness that my body has when you're near, just knowing that someone that loves me like you do is here on Earth with me. You're not gone yet, but I can't help but feel you'll be leaving soon. And I miss you already. Sadness is a process. Life is a gift to cherished, celebrated, honored. How do you say goodbye to someone that you're not ready to lose? Maybe you're never really ready to lose someone you love. ?
