Day 16 #DetoxYoBody is Urdhva Dhanurasana. This backbend ends every Ashtanga Yoga practice and builds strength and flexibility. Holding this pose heats up the inner body and cleanses the physical and emotional body. Keep the feet as close to parallel as possible, inwardly rotate the hips, create space between the joints of the spine, externally rotate the shoulders and lift the sternum. Slowly walk the hands towards the feet and one day you will the space to be able to walk all the way in and hold your ankles. Check my YouTube channel for full tutorials on all levels.
