Can we all agree that it's absolutely ridiculous and beyond sexist to judge a woman based on her appearance or what she wears? And yet it's happened over here too. Let me tell you this story: a few years ago I was put forward to front a campaign for a footwear brand. They wanted feminists to front the campaign and one of their team said I was a perfect fit. I was devastated at the time because, not only am I a feminist and have done so much in my career to empower women, but they were judging me based on misogyny in the tabloids that I'm not even responsible for. Plus, whether I'm posing in lingerie, dressed in a tight dress, or wearing a power suit outside No.10 I'm still the same Ashley with the same morals and values. A feminist. An A grade student and graduate. I show off lingerie because I WISH I saw women with big boobs when I was a teenager. I wish I knew what bras to wear to feel good. I wish I didn't have to feel ashamed of my body because I was constantly being told to cover up to avoid the wrong attention. I wish I knew I didn't have to choose between 'brains' or 'beauty'. We are multi-faceted women and we should be allowed to be intelligent, sexy, and wear what we want. ♀ #imwithsanna」10月17日 4時59分 - ashleylouisejames

Who here has made assumptions about a woman's values, morals, or intelligence based on the way she dresses? 🙋🏼‍♀️

There's a sexism row in the press in Finland at the moment after their female Prime Minister, Sanna Marin, posed in a magazine wearing a low cut blazer. She also happens to be the world's youngest national leader at 34.
