The first thousand times I tried to put my leg behind it just didn’t work. I had strange pains in my chest and a lack of feeling around the hips. It’s taken me years of practice to understand the anatomy, both the physical, emotional and energetic of this asana. And still some days the hips are open and some days the hips are tight.
