Emotional processing, at least for me, often happens in silence. Working behind the scenes often happens in apparent silence. There was once a time when I was quick to speak, when I couldn’t wait to share my unedited rants with the world. I’m not there anymore. But don’t assume my silence equates with inaction on important things. Soon, it will be time again for me to speak, and I hope that what I share will be filled with more wisdom and more compassion than before.

I’ve made enough mistakes making assumptions about other people instead of asking intelligent questions. At the very least I’d like not to make the same mistakes going forward. Then, if I’m lucky, I’ll get to make all new mistakes in the future so I can learn all new lessons.

I don’t know if I will ever be as confident and sure of anything again as I have been in the past. And that is probably a good thing, because I was arrogant and naive and I thought I could change the world. I’m not saying the world can’t change but maybe I am saying that if the world is going to change it’s on us as a whole, not on any one person’s greatness to save us all.

@kinoyoga I’m confused as to why you would choose this moment to battle in silence... but when you were involved with a personal business matter you chose to blast it all over social media speaking to the morality of it all- but you felt ok to stay silent when stories came out concerning sexual assault and continued to support a despicable man. This isn’t maturity or wisdom- it’s your personal choice to support a half-assed apology that pointed fingers. We’re all human, we all make mistakes and have the right to react in our own ways. But don’t think that people are blind to the inconsistencies on what you’ll put yourself out in a limb for and what you won’t ✌️

What you said about “sharing your u edited rants with the world and being quick to speak” - I used to be exactly the same. In fact, just yesterday I was thinking of how I used to post about having a “rant” and how I hardly ever use that word when referring to my own actions now.
I have only been following you on Instagram for a few weeks (but I knew of you, obviously) and your posts resonate with me so much, that I can’t help thinking “when the student is ready, the teacher will appear”.

@leelalindayogi So true. I think we grow regardless. Each incarnation whether we suffer, or learn to identify what is causing our suffering brings us closer to enlightenment. I guess it just depends on how much responsibility we take for our suffering. Great conversation. Thank you. ?

Just the read the blog post. So necessary and needed and yet so brave. Thank you for speaking up and helping lead the lineage into a new era. This type of thing keeps happening over and over with gurus of different lineages and it’s time that together we bring it to an end ???
