There is a promise kept in every dawn, a whisper from eternity about the chance for a fresh start, a feeling that no matter how long the night may seem, there will always be a new day, a system reset where you get the opportunity to begin again. And you, my dear, you hold that promise within you. You are the dawn, and at every breath you can start again, press restart on the mind and heart, see the world from the miracle of the present, drop the old stories of the past. You are the magic, it’s in you. The whole spiritual path—every yoga pose, every meditation technique, every moment spent on your knees in prayer, every sincere question in your heart—its all about the opening of mind and heart to the freshness of Now, the is-ness or your being, the place beyond the material that your very soul is a bridge towards. Waking up is both a journey and a surrender, a way to dream a better dream, consciously, clearly, with kindness and generosity, a path of self-realization so that you can finally be yourself and be in love with who you are.

Asana has been a big part of my journey, but I feel it shifting. My intention going forward is to spend an equal amount of time in sitting meditation as I do on the yoga mat. What do you think about that?

??? I dont think I have enough experience to know a significant difference... but I would think it will depend on your surroundings and your position in life. Sometimes we might need one more than the other. I just recently started learning about meditation and practicing it before asana practice does make me feel a lot more mindful when I make it to the mat. I feel like I engage in the practice more, like “cleaning” my mind and just orienting it away from outside concerns. But im sure this could change in time, or evolve more. I would say the change is worth exploring, either way it can only bring you closer to your self?

Kino I think that you have to write a new book. Since you came back from the Dhamma I can't wait to read your posts. I always loved reading you, but there is something new in your words, and I love it so much. Perhaps, because in this specific time of my life, I crave something different. I don't know if it makes sense to you. I think that I will definitely follow your example and try to meditate longer. Thank you so much for sharing your thoughts ?

Your thoughts, intentions, and prayers are so beautiful! Thank you for sharing them! May your intentions be fulfilled on a daily basis and your sharing of your words and deeds help all those that hear, and read them! Peace and blessings always!????????♀️??

Sounds fantastic. ? Two thoughts popped up. 1. Ahimsa. More time in asana and sitting is powerful as long as we aren’t losing recommended number of hours of sleep or other important elements of our life and health. 2. Quality over quantity. ✨

A promise that I made to myself over 22 years ago .. was that I would always give life another day .. no matter how bad the days got .. you never know what a fresh dawn may bring

I read somewhere that the purpose of yoga (among other things) is to cease the fluctuations of the mind, and prepare the student for meditation, so, yeah.
