All the love that’s in your heart can never be lost or defiled. No matter what’s happened to you or what you’ve done, your essence is always pure. The sacred space of the heart is inviolable, universal and eternal. What blocks you from tapping into it right now are the lies that you believe about your own unworthiness. Stories of shame and blame cast a delusional spell that make you feel like damaged goods. Sometimes we feel like we can’t let go of our rage and anger because it is the motivation for change and action. But that’s simply not how the heart works. Punishment and retribution only bind the knots even tighter. Instead, remember this—your spirit is divinely created, you are a star, born of the magic dust that creates galaxies, and nothing you can ever do, nothing anyone can ever do to you and certainly nothing that is ever said can change or take away your innate, inherent capacity for joy.
