Happy to welcome US @ジョー・バイデン @mike.pence to the Istana this morning. We’ve had fruitful meetings with him and other leaders over the past few days in @asean2018, which Mr Pence attended on behalf of President Donald Trump.
At the ASEAN-US Summit yesterday, we adopted the ASEAN-US Leaders’ Statement on Cybersecurity Cooperation. We also agreed to develop the US-ASEAN Smart Cities Partnership. During the East Asia Summit (EAS), we also issued statements, covering issues like terrorism, marine plastic debris, radioactive material and the digital economy.

Singapore and the US have a deep and close partnership. We cooperate across economic, defence, and security areas, not to mention our strong people-to-people ties.
