Yoga is a seeker's practice that burns in the heart of true students. It is a desire to know firsthand what life is really all about. In the quiet space of the inner body there is a truth so deep that it will forever change you. It must be experienced, tasted, touched, held and then let go. You can't hold on to it and the more you try the faster it fades away. But if you gently guide your mind into the channel of the heart you'll find your path. If you hit it too hard you'll miss it. And there it sits, the light of the heart, brilliant, luminous, infinite, compassionate and wise. You have that light within you, the question is whether or not you allow it to shine. I spent years of my life searching for a word to describe these subtle ineffable moments of eternality. I tried all the neutral phrases like "source" or "oneness" but they never hit the deeply personal presence I felt. One day I realized that this is God. Beyond any notion of organized religion or what the G-word means culturally, I felt it, that timeless all-knowing presence, a space that was now but also all yesterdays and tomorrows wrapped up into one. And there was only one way to describe it, God is love and He is everywhere if you have the eyes to see. ?
