The simple truth will guide your practice and maybe your life: if it feels wrong, like in your gut, it probably is wrong, but if you know you should and you're just afraid, well then, you probably should. Whether it's your body talking to you in your practice or it's your heart talking to you about life, the key to living more peacefully is all about listening. So much of yoga is about developing the skillset to really hear the subtle truth of the inner world. If you're too forceful you'll blow right past it all and miss the quiet wisdom. If you don't show up on your mat and put in the effort to practice those hard won small steps forward will always remain just out of reach. You have to walk the path with boldness and bravery, but also and perhaps more importantly, with a sensitive open heart. ?
