Eucalyptus [8B+] FA ⚔️ Just before leaving for Switzerland in February I was able to send this bizzare kneebar rig 😅 I took me at least 10 sessions to unlock the correct method, and after trying what seemed to be about 100 variations to my final sequence, I realized I only had one option: a super technical jump out of a kneescum with a non-existant foot, followed by a bizzare swing created by the lack of opposition between the two holds, the perfect recipe for a super off-balance and low percentage crux 😵‍💫 It’s hard to grade these kind of boulders, but it felt really hard when I actually put it all together, especially after falling off the “easier” section a couple times, where you gain access to some more odd kneebars, followed by a few majestic pockets and a glorious easier exit 🤗 It was a definitely bittersweet to make an ascent of this climb from where I started, because there was in fact an amazing low start, which added a 5 move sequence of around 8a+/8b compressiong out this refrigerator like feature, but some kook/idiot decided to break the holds off with a hammer ( I’m still not sure who is responsible) but it effectively destroyed one of the hardest boulders in Siurana, reducing the grade from 8c or 8c+ to what it is now…🤬 WTF right??? Anyway, I’ve long gotten over the initial loss I felt when I walked up to the boulder and saw the holds shattered on the ground, but I’m happy I could salvage something and open this line with what was left on the wall 🙄😤 Now let’s get caught up with all the Swiss content, cuz its been a wild time out here so far 🧊🧊🧊 I LOVE it here 😍 Thanks @esteban.ele.eme for the fuego video and @alizee_dufraisse and Mishka for the spot 🤣 @adidasterrex @fiveten_official @petzl_official @frictionlabs @sendclimbing @tensionclimbing
