No matter what we feel about ourselves physically, we deserve to feel the sun on our skin and wear clothes that make us happy. You deserve to wear the bikini, you deserve to wear the crop top! Because as my friend said to me, we are literally only the age we are now for ONE summer. How mad is that? We might be pregnant, we might be postnatal, we might not have looked after ourselves as well as we wanted as we navigated lockdown or break ups or whatever it is you've been navigating in your life. But you will look back and probably think you looked amazing - exactly as you are now. But most importantly you will look back and realise that your appearance really didn't matter anyway. We remember the memories, the experiences we have, the feeling of the sun on our skin! I look back on photos of myself last year, the year before that, and the year before that and I can't believe how different my body looks in each one! But I'm so grateful for all the memories! We are our harshest critics but we just need to look around at all the absolutely incredible and confident women all around us. They are different shapes, sizes, and skin tones and they all look amazing. So don't judge yourself with the weird and totally unrealistic eyes of society! Because to be *beach body ready* ALL you need is to have a body. And cellulite, saggy skin, empty boobies, stretch marks are all those beautiful and normal things that make us interesting, that tell our story. And it's only an industry that profits from our insecurities that has convinced us they are flaws.
