Did I mention Alf had a poo explosion all over me and him right before we went live? 🤣 So for context, Alf was in the green room with Tommy for all the show, and then he was meant to come out for this little segment to say hey and for us to discuss whether or not children should be allowed in the workplace (my thoughts on that are on my previous post). The segment idea came about after me sharing my desire to be able to work and get back into the studio, but needing Alf around to breastfeed. it's conflicting because it's seen as 'unprofessional' to have children in a workplace. Anyway, as you can see, Alf decided it was booby time. It wasn't planned or orchestrated - he's sadly not that intelligent yet. He's just a baby who needs to eat like every other human. I love how @thejeremyvine helped to normalise it, making me feel comfortable but also carrying on the conversation. I have to say the outpouring of love and support has been amazing, and I always want to focus on the positives. Thank you! But the amount of abuse from both men and women is a sad reflection of our weird attitudes to breastfeeding in our country. like I always say, no judgement on my side on how anyone choses to feed a baby, we're all different. But to those who think it's 'attention seeking' or we do it 'to make a point': trust me, me and every other breastfeeding person who prefer if you stopped sexualising our boobs. In the show, I supported plans to ban catcalling (and street harrassment) and people have said I'm a hypocrite for being against catcallling yet having my boobs out.
