Rate my necklace out of 10 please? 🐶 There are indeed 4 tiny puppies snuggled into my neck and I’m in absolute heaven right now! These chubby floofs are now 5 days old and have gained sooo much weight and size since they were born - swelling from a dinky 65g to now over 100g. I’m so proud and in awe of them and their mummy, my pomeranian Missy and daddy Mr Mouse our dear little chihuahua. Just a handful of days ago I helped to bring these beautiful souls into the world; delivering them, checking them over and bottle feeding them every couple of hours to help Mumma out because a litter of 4 is a lot for a little dog! My own children are 13yrs and soon-to-be 9yrs and having our first ever litter of puppies has taken me back to the day that I discovered I was going to be a mum myself. Beforehand I didn’t have a maternal bone in my body, I’d never wanted nor dreamed of having children and purposely avoided being around babies because I was scared that they would cry or I might drop them if I held them. But the moment I discovered I was with child something inside of me instinctively changed, it was as if somebody had lit the warmth in my heart and it has been burning brightly ever since. I adore being a mum, I adore protecting little lives, showing love, kindness and compassion to those who are vulnerable - it was as if I’d found the missing puzzle peace and meaning to the riddle of my life; everything made sense and felt right and I have forever put my babies first. I’ve only ever had my dogs as puppies at 8wks old, never younger or from birth, let alone delivering a newborn and dealing with cords and placentas - which as a lifelong veggie turned vegan wasn’t fun because I can’t even look at, let alone touch meat without gagging but I did it! When the chips are down your true colours will always show and we can all find such incredible hidden strength, energy and compassion inside of us to do the right thing when we have to. There is a path in life destined for each of us; our purpose is to walk it with an open heart and optimism and learn from the many lessons that we are blessed with along the way 🙏🏼 #puppies #pomchipuppies #influencer #feelingblessed #mindset
