The problem with being angelic is that sometimes people expect you to be just like everybody else - deceitful, unfaithful and unkind. I’m sure it happens to more men than it does women when you first meet somebody and tell them “I’m nothing like your ex, not all men are the same!” How frustrating it becomes to be punished for something entirely outside of your control simply because you fit a stereotype. Personally I always have people saying to me “you’re nothing like what I thought you would be!” Because I guess from sharing pictures online people assume I will be self-centred, selfish, have an attitude the size of Uranus and be an absolute gold digger Princess when I’m the exact polar opposite. That’s why you should never judge a book by its cover! The same can be said for work; the more confident and socially accepted you are the faster you climb the ladder when those who often work the hardest and truly deserve a promotion shrink into the background and go unnoticed. Whilst we cannot be responsible for the thoughts and actions within society and daily prejudice we must face, we can however lead a true, happy and healthy life and allow our reputation to speak for us. The way that WE are is what matters most; please always try your best, be kind to others and yourself and give thanks for the many blessings around you because no matter how much or little you have there is always somebody who would give anything to have your if. If you find yourself smiling on a daily basis, burst into song and dance without prompting and forgiving of all who have wronged you so that you may leave the past in the past then you’re off to a pretty good start!
