Why when we have such an incredible gift do we choose to criticise, dislike and think of ourselves as ugly because of the negative opinions of fellow imperfect beings? Lumps, bumps, scars and skin are all perfectly normal because beauty comes in every shape, size and colour at every age. It’s ok to have flaws, it’s what makes us human. Whether you choose to embrace your individuality by rocking every imperfection with pride or would rather take steps to temporarily (hair dye, makeup, fillers, botox, gym, nail bars, salons, clothing) or permanently (tattoos, surgery) look and feel how you identify as the most you; your body is YOUR choice! You don’t have to feel unhappy or dislike yourself to want to experiment with your skin or style, you don’t have to hate who you are or dream to be somebody else simply because you fancy a different hair colour or hope to lose or gain weight; you just have to love yourself enough to have and do what you want, by yourself and for yourself. Personally I’ve had my hair almost every colour of the rainbow, had, removed and replaced 21 piercings and have collected around 70 custom and incredibly meaningful tattoos as well as surgery to gain bodyweight and temporary fillers to feel as youthful as my soul.
