They say there is a new strain of the virus which has mutated and is far more infectious than the first. The schools have closed, all non-essential businesses have closed including my escapism of the gym. It’s dark and wet outside, Christmas has been cancelled for millions as we cannot see our loved ones and the hope of saviour for being the first country in the world to develop a vaccine has been dampened by the borders to France being closed and struggles over Brexit as we attempt to leave the European Union and fairly become independent. Despite this, us Brits are known for a stiff upper lip, a keep calm and carry on attitude and a mend and make do mindset. Working from home raising children alone whilst studying, training and at times home-schooling has been a challenge and tested my resilience but ultimately it has made me stronger, more patient and able to succeed under pressure. Please wherever you are and whatever you’re doing, I want you to know that the darker it gets and the deeper you go the more amazingly high the rise and beautifully bright the light will be at the end of this all. We CAN do this together, with love, support and understanding.
