The world has been shook this year, we have finally recognised our mortality and all that is most important in life has floated to the surface leaving behind the sediment of the vast amount of inessential possessions and people. All of the money in the world can NOT buy you happiness, love or another day of life on this earth - when the chips are down what will be will be and we are all equal. This Christmas, whilst very different to most for all, is possibly the most humane, appreciated and craved for in decades - we must all be fortunate to spend time with loved ones, cherish every second and be present in the moment when most would usually have been distantly trapped within phone screens not appreciating the blessings around them. That which is most important in life we must nurture, protect and sustain - the unconditional love of our parents, children and true friends, the gift of good health and the ability to be truly happy with who we are as individuals and what we already have rather than hanging our happiness on the approval of others, the need for (often unhealthy) relationships and forever chasing the next bigger and better thing in order to feel fulfilled. If the world were to end today can you honestly say that right here and now you are truly happy, thankful, blessed and at peace with yourself and those around you? If not, why not? Look inward for the answers and value your everyday for the miracle it is.
