Incorporating row movements for the upper back are critical for developing thickness. ⁣

Here are some tips to help make the most out of your rows: ⁣

1️⃣SQUEEZE YOUR SHOULDER BLADES: understanding which body part to focus on during an exercise is critical. I often notice when I watch beginners perform rows that they tend to pull the weight majority with their biceps. The more you can become aware of what you should be doing, the better equipped you will be for the future. ⁣

2️⃣CHEST UP & SHOULDERS BACK: a second mistake that I will see in beginners is pulling with their shoulders slouched forward. It is critical that you sit tall with your chest up and shoulders back. Having slouched shoulders during a row will promote you pulling the weight with your biceps and not your upper back. Keep your chest high and shoulders back and you’ll be on your way to a thicker back. ⁣

Here I am perform an Iso-Lateral Low Row. The main muscles targeted are the middle and lower trap, along with the lower lats.
