I went to an amazing healing session, then I came back home and meditated and couldn’t even go through half of it, then I took a bath. . Simplest birthday ever. . Sometimes, being alone is the best, and while I truly believe in celebrating things big and small, my idea of what it means to be celebrating is pretty open. . Sometimes it’s dancing all night. Sometimes it’s having a glass of wine with a few friends and making toasts (I mean a celebratory speech, not a tartine)(I love toasts, I want to become the queen of toasts, I encourage multiple toasting). Sometimes it’s a moment of silence in nature. Sometimes it’s just being alone and doing wtf I want. . . . Thank you for all the love on my birthday - and don’t think I suddenly and irreversibly became a monk : as I was telling my friend Alex “I said no to enough people that wanted to celebrate my birthday that I felt completely validated to do nothing while still feeling loved and supported.” .
