Photo by Jodi Cobb @jodicobbphoto || A note handed to me after my presentation in Charlottesville last week by a young woman who slipped backstage afterwards. It reads: “Dear Jodi, If I can’t actually say this, I have written it down: I wanted to say thank you for finding and doing the piece on sports events child sex trafficking. I was one. Thank you for finding that world, as hard as it was. Thank you for not turning your eyes away.” She left before I read the note, through tears.

Friends in Portland, Maine, please come to my presentation at the Merrill Auditorium tomorrow night Wednesday March 13 at 7:00pm. I will show the work on human trafficking that she experienced firsthand, as well as other photographs and stories from my 3 decades as a National Geographic photographer.
