Bengal tiger tour – last few places! There now remains just a few places left on my second tiger tour to India in January 2020 so for those of you that might want to experience the incredible thrill that is seeing tigers in the wild then please do get in touch. This image if nothing else epitomises their staggering beauty and whilst this might look like a fully grown adult this is in fact just a baby, just 11 months old and full of youthful indifference. Lounging among some rocks he is doing little more than simply raising his head from his slumber, outstretched paw acting as purchase as he nonchalantly checks who is around. Close by his sister lounges also, seeking shade as they do during the hottest past of the day. Though the light streaming into the forest was not at its softest the dense foliage of the forest canopy did act as something of a diffuser, softening the light and giving the cub a more even tone. Around him lie the rocks that is preferred resting spot, his mother keeping her distance at this age whilst she hunts alone. If successful she will come and collect them both but for now their life consists of more relaxing choices and this is exactly what this cub chose. This apparent interest was only momentary, seconds later his head flopped back to rest, he is it’s a fair to say a large cat after all!
