Fashion brands are using prison labor to provide inmates with jobs and training. In Cusco, Peru, some inmates at the women’s penitentiary center work for @carcelclothing, a Danish brand that provides incarcerated women with jobs, training and, possibly, a crime-free future. The project is popular with prisoners and consumers and shows that the profitable and responsible production of luxury fashion can have a place in prison.
