Meet the orange tip butterfly (Anthocharis cardamines)! The vibrant winged-critter can be spotted throughout Europe in damp, grassy habitats such as meadows. To tell a male apart from a female, check the color at the tip of the wings: males have an orange tip, while females have a black tip. Both have striking dappled patterns of yellow and black on the underside of the wing, which helps keep them camouflaged in vegetation.
