This girl right here? She took her health for granted ??‍♀️ This photo is taken the night before my bowel twisted. I had no idea what was about to happen and how my life was going to change so dramatically ? Don’t get me wrong, I appreciated my body and I respected my body. I trained hard and ate well from a place of self love. But I don’t think I truly understood how lucky I was to do that. I used to always hear people say “don’t take your health for granted” and “move because you can”; but the message never really hit home. Until now ??‍♀️ Once your ability to move freely, to do simple things like walk or stand up with ease, is taken away from you; that’s when you realise how lucky you were beforehand. How incredibly grateful you should have been to be able to just stroll down the street, to run, to lift weights, to even pick up the kettle. I can’t do any of these things now and I would be lying if I said I didn’t miss them ?? So if you can take anything from my experience, let it be this. Be grateful for your body. Move it because you can. Realise how lucky you are. Because not everyone has these abilities which you are blessed to have, and many people would do anything to be able to move freely; myself included ❤️
